About Woodbury In Washington County

Originally, the town of Woodbury, Minnesota, was named Red Rock. However, after the discovery of another Red Rock in MN, they renamed it Woodbury after Levi Woodbury, the first justice of the Supreme Court in the United States. Woodbury is a rapidly growing town with almost 68,000 people, which is the ninth largest city in Minnesota. The first settlers arrived in 1844 and converted the wooded area into farmland, which allowed the town to grow to what it is today. Woodbury is a very versatile city with opportunities to grow everywhere. For recreation, there are more than 45 parks, covering about 100 miles of trails. If you love the outdoors and friendly people, then come to Woodbury to get a breath of fresh air.
