About Carver In Carver County

Carver was created by the Glacial River Warren, during the time when the elements came through the area and unloaded the region with gravel, sand, clay, and silt. In addition, the Minnesota River was created when Glacial River Warren infiltrated the area. Initially occupied by Native Americans, there was a Wahpeton village that can still be seen on older maps of the region. As the Wahpeton village occupied the area, soon after a Frenchman came through with intentions to explore the region. As more and more people came to the area of what is now considered to be Carver, the town was consistently having problems with the Native Americans in the county. This transformed into wars all over the area with the Native American tribes. Within the last few decades, a non profit decided to create a historical preservation to help educate others about the area and reenact history in the area. With a historical district, any great history lover needs to explore, the next stop on your map should be Carver.
